Choose the visual anchor
A hockey jersey has room for a strong club identity, but every element should have a clear role. Start with the crest. Decide how large it should feel on the chest, then choose a base color that gives the mark enough contrast.
Use your existing club artwork where possible. Send the cleanest original file you have, rather than a screenshot taken from a social profile. If the artwork needs rebuilding, discuss that before the mockup is finalized.
Let the striping support the crest
Pick a simple relationship between the sleeve and body stripes. Broad bands can feel traditional; smaller accents can keep attention on the main mark. Review the front and back together so the nameplate and number do not compete with the pattern.
- Confirm home, away, and goalkeeper requirements.
- Review number contrast against every stripe it crosses.
- Check the spelling of each player name.
- Share current league design requirements with the brief.
Fit over the equipment that will be worn
Measure players with the intended pads and list goalie requirements separately. Sleeve length and equipment clearance matter as much as the chest measurement. Use the chart for the actual jersey style under consideration.
Approve the full specification
Before production, keep one approved record of crest placement, colors, names, numbers, sizes, quantities, and timing. Veloce can use that shared reference to develop a coordinated quote for jerseys, warmups, and team bags.
